Hello, my name is Usman Asghar and I'm a Master's student in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I'm passionate about building scalable, user-friendly web applications and constantly expanding my skillset with new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
My experience spans full-stack development, data analysis, and system-level programming. I'm skilled in languages like Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, and C/C++, and I frequently work with tools like AWS, Tableau, Firebase, Git, and Unix.
In the data space, I've applied tools like Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Tableau to perform analysis, build dashboards, and drive insights. One of my recent projects analyzed California's water quality and health disparities to explore whether there's a correlation between PFAS contamination and cancer incidence.
I also have a strong interest in cybersecurity. My background in systems programming, backend development, and client-server interactions has given me a solid foundation in secure coding, authentication, and protecting user data.
Whether it's designing intuitive interfaces, querying complex datasets, or writing secure backend logic, I enjoy working across the stack to build impactful solutions.
